Water Conservation and Reuse Award Submission 2020

Water Conservation and Reuse Awards

Sponsored by the Texas Section AWWA Water Conservation & Reuse Division

Deadline: January 24, 2020  Monday, February 3, 2020

Would you like to spread the word about your utility or company’s efforts in preserving Texas’ precious water resources? Then apply for a Conservation/Reuse Award! The Water Conservation and Reuse Division of the Texas Section American Water Works Association is seeking award applications to recognize utilities, companies, government agencies, and private individuals who have discovered and implemented methods for better water-use efficiency. Awards will be presented at the Texas Water Conference March 31–April 3, 2020 in Fort Worth.

Successful award entries will recognize activities that best support or promote efficient water use. Entries will be judged on innovation, implementation/execution, transferability, and benefits/results. Water reclamation and reuse projects are eligible for an additional award, the Bob Derrington Reclamation Award for water reuse.

* DIRECT project – has a quantifiable volume of water saved or reused. For example, gallons of water saved through a rain barrel program or gallons of water reused.

* INDIRECT project – does not have a quantifiable volume of water saved or reused but still promoted conservation and/or reuse of water. For example, awareness campaigns for water waste or drought management.

In preparing your award application, please consider the following:
